Feeling stuck? Has the COVID-19 pandemic impacted your career? Have you considered going back to school?

COVID Relief Grant Ending Soon

This post was created by Academy of Learning Career College and originally appeared on their blog June 20 2021. It has been repurposed, with permission, for Digital School use.

When the global pandemic hit last year, several grants were introduced to help students make ends meet and afford their schooling. With Alberta opening for summer on July 1st, these COVID relief grants will no longer be available by the end of the month.

That means now is the best time to seriously consider going back to school and pursue the career you always dreamed of!

We know that financing your education can be one of the single biggest stresses in your post-secondary education journey, and applying for available government grants can ease your financial stress and allow you to focus on your studies.
Don’t miss out! The deadline to apply for these grants is July 31, 2021.

Updated Student Loan Policies

Additionally, there are updates for student loan policies that give more students increased financial freedom and support.

Income thresholds are how the government evaluates the eligibility of students for certain grants, and they have been increased for the 2021/22 school year! There has also been an increase in living allowance eligibility.

Considering these changes, attending college is more affordable today than it has been in a long time. These loans and grants give students the financial freedom to study and not worry about life’s expenses.
